Equipment

  • Blender or Juicer
  • Shot glasses

Ingredients

  • 1 small piece of ginger (about 1 inch), peeled
  • 1 small piece of turmeric root (about 1 inch), peeled (or 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric)
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)

  • 1-2 tablespoons of honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
  • 1/2 of water

Instructions

  • Prepare Ingredients: Wash and peel the ginger and turmeric if using fresh. Cut into smaller pieces for easier blending.
  • Blend: In a blender, combine the ginger, turmeric, lemon juice, cayenne pepper, black pepper, honey or maple syrup (if using), and water. Blend until smooth.
  • Strain (optional): If you prefer a smoother shot, strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth to remove any pulp.
  • Serve: Pour the wellness shot into shot glasses.

Notes

Tips:
  • Adjust sweetness with honey or maple syrup according to taste.
  • Fresh turmeric can stain hands and surfaces, so handle with care.
  • Store any leftover shot in the refrigerator for up to 2 days, though it's best consumed fresh.
