Ingredients
  

  • 3 inches Fresh Ginger Root
  • 2 inches Fresh Turmeric Root
  • 1 large Lemon
  • 1 medium Orange
  • 1/8 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 2 tbsp Honey or Maple Syrup
  • 1/2 cup Water

Instructions
 

Prepare the Ingredients

  • Peel the ginger and turmeric roots using a peeler.
  • Cut the lemon and orange in half and juice them. Set the juice aside.

Blend or Juice

  • If using a blender, chop the ginger and turmeric into small pieces.
  • Add the ginger, turmeric, lemon juice, orange juice, black pepper, and water into the blender.
  • Blend until smooth.
  • If using a juicer, juice the ginger and turmeric roots directly and then mix with the citrus juices, black pepper, and water.

Strain the Mixture

  • Place a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth over a bowl or jug
  • Pour the blended mixture through the sieve to remove the pulp, pressing with a spoon to extract as much liquid as possible.

Sweeten (Optional)

  • If desired, add honey or maple syrup to the strained liquid and stir until dissolved.

Serve

  • Pour the strained juice into small glass bottles or shot glasses.
  • Consume immediately or refrigerate for up to 5 days.
