Instructions
Step 1: Muddle the Blackberries
Put the blackberries at the bottom of your glass or mug. Crush them with a muddler or spoon just until they give out their juices. This brings a lot of flavor and the purple color to the drink.
Step 2: Vodka, Lime, and Sweetener
Add 2 oz of vodka and 1/2 oz of fresh lime juice. In case your blackberries are tart, you may add 1/2 tsp of honey or a mixture of water and sugar in equal amounts (simple syrup).
Step 3: Ice and Stir
Put ice into your mug or glass, up to the wall. Stir with a spoon and mix it all up, the muddled berries, the vodka, and the lime.
Step 4: Ginger Beer On Top
Gradually add a cooled-off ginger beer onto the mixture–approximately 4 oz or whatever fills the glass. The mixture must be stirred lightly to mix and yet retain carbonation.
Step 5: Serving and Garnishing: 5min Step
Top with additional blackberries, fresh-cut lime, or a sprig of mint. Give one straw or cocktail stirrer at once.

FAQs
Q1: Is it possible to use blackberry syrup instead of fresh berries?
Yes! In lieu of muddled berries, use 1/2 oz of blackberry syrup. It will also taste a bit sweeter and a bit smoother, but it will remain delicious as well.
Q2: Which is the best ginger beer?
To have a greater kick use a spicy bold ginger beer like Fever-Tree or Reed. When it comes to lighter varieties, Bundaberg or Q Mixers are a good idea.
Q3: Is it possible to strain the drink to make it more smooth in texture?
Absolutely. Strain the juice to get rid of the berry pulp by using a fine mesh strainer in case you prefer a cleaner drink.
Q4: Is it possible to do non-alcoholic?
Yes. A Blackberry Mule mocktail can be made by replacing vodka with soda water or even more ginger beer.
Q5: What is the shelf life of muddled blackberry mix?
The muddled blackberry + vodka + lime mix can be kept in fridge up to 24 hrs. Only top with ginger beer when you are ready to serve it.
